Make a shape tween

Shape Tweening
Welcome to the first tutorial on shape tweening. This is another very important thing to know, this can create great effects, and it is very easy to do basic ones with just text.
By now you should be familiar with inserting and naming layers, knowing what a keyframe is, what the stage is and how to create graphics, if not, take notes from the previous two tutorial.
Lets start by renaming layer 1 text. Now we will be using the brush tool in this tutorial. Start by selecting the brush tool, now down a bit from the brush tool you can change the size of the brush. Change the size to a reasonably small size, and brush shape to a circle. Now on the stage start by writing you first name, I will use flash as an example, now insert keyframe at frame 10. delete your first name at only frame 10 and write in you last name around the same position you first name was. Now click on any frame between 1 and 10 and open the property inspector. Now we haven’t used the property inspector yet, will be displayed at the bottom of the stage, at the bottom of the window there is a little arrow that points in the up direction, click on it and the property inspector will be displayed. You will see an option named tween, select it and choose shape. The frames in the timeline should turn a light green colour and an arrow will appear, just like a motion tween would look, only with the green colour as well.
Now hit the enter button, your first name will now transform in to your last name.
Now how easy was that. We will be using the property inspector very regularly as we progress through the tutorials, but for now let’s not worry about it to much.
As I say with all the other tutorials, if it doesn’t work try again, try pick out where you went wrong, this is a very useful skill.
Try expanding on this also, create a new layer, name it shape, and insert a key frame at frame 20. Draw a circle on the first keyframe, and on the 20th keyframe delete the circle and replace it with a square, now repeat the process of creating a shape tween. You will now have a circle transforming into a square, and your name transforming in to your last name.
